Laura Misuraca.

My background is a little unconventional. I studied Psychology before moving into Graphic Design, then into UI & UX design which has beautifully combined the two. I'm naturally curious about people, how they think and behave, and what makes an experience feel intuitive, useful, or memorable. I love the visual side of design just as much, so I'm happiest somewhere in the middle: creating work that looks beautiful and feels considered.

Over the past eight years, I've worked across freelance, in-house, and agency environments, designing within all spheres, from ecommerce and growth campaigns to SaaS and AI products. I've experienced both ends of the spectrum: working at a growth agency where every decision was about performance, and working in an environment where the focus was on making the internet a little more beautiful. These days, I'm interested in bringing those worlds together.

The AI landscape is of course a hot topic & I am endlessly interested in this. I've been increasingly building AI into my own workflows, experimenting with new tools and finding ways to make the design process faster, smarter, and more scalable without losing the human judgement that makes good design good. There's always something new to learn, which I love.

Outside of design, I love to travel. I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, then recently spent three years based in Belgrade, Serbia, which gave me the chance to travel extensively around Europe. I've recently moved to Marseille in France for some much needed salt and sun. My Serbian is coming along slowly and my French leaves something to be desired but I'm happy to just be eating my way through France right now.

I love meeting and learning about new people, and working with the kind of curious, slightly obsessive people that design seems to attract.
